Our mission is to advance the art and science of welding.

The AWS Detroit Section is made up of volunteers including Equipment users, Equipment Builders, Equipment Suppliers, and experts in the field of Arc Welding, and related processes. The MISSION is to advance the art and science of welding. This section of AWS supports colleges, universities and local schools with Literature, Scholarships and Technical Support

The AWS Detroit Section has been a part of the Metro Detroit Community since 1924. As a member of the American Welding Society (www.aws.org), we participate and share in information and activities through the main organization located in Miami, Florida, as well as with other sections across the United States. We welcome you to our site, and encourage you to join our organization and our dream in continuing to encourage and profit the welding community and it's future.
